General, Programming, Technical From Idea to Implementation

NOTE: If you haven’t read my article about Shillbots, you can find it here: Shillbot: A Study in Identifying Reddit Trolls Through Machine Learning

Sometimes you just can’t stop at a proof of concept. I first wrote about Shillbot in 2019, but I kept the development going as one of those side projects that one occasionally returns to, writes a little more code, tests a few more parameters, and makes tweaks to their algorithm. Then, in 2020, I found myself with an abundance of time to devote to projects, and I was finally able to make the minor changes necessary to turn the Shillbot concept into a working site — with constantly updating algorithms trained and re-trained.

I put it at and designed it as a search engine for users you suspect are various manifestations of “shills”.
